HSE ICRT Held Five Summer Internships for University Professors
Internships consisted of webinars, workshops on practical applications, and meetups with the heads of educational programmes. More than fifty professors participated in the internships including those from Adyghe State University, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology, Berbekov Kabardino-Balkar State University, and Tambov State Technical University.
On July 2-20, the Faculty of Computer Science hosted four internships on educational programmes in mathematics, computer science, and digital technologies, as well as efficient methods of teaching mathematics, programming, and theory of algorithms, data analysis, and machine learning. The internships were headed by deputy dean Ilya Samonenko, head of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence School Vladimir Podolskii, associate professor Viktor Dudarev, and academic supervisor of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science programme Evgeny Sokolov.
Another internship, “Practice and Methods of Online Teaching for Engineering Students” was hosted by HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics on July 6-20. It was headed by associate professor Denis Korolev.
The graduates of the internships thanked the organisers, saying that the new knowledge will enable them to improve educational programmes in their universities and help to conduct more efficient distance classes.
The courses they have enjoyed the most were mathematical analysis, the theory of probability, and mathematical statistics, graduates say. They were also interested in data analysis and machine learning classes of HSE University.
Graduates also claim that the teaching and methodical materials they have studied are of great value. They also thanked the organisers for permission to use the electronic resources of HSE University.
